 
            The Vancouver FIR (CZVR) is looking for a Facility Engineer to join our staff team.
Reports To: CZVR FIR Chief
Responsibilities: Perform regular maintenance and upkeep of the FIRs sector files. Provide updates to the FIR’s membership regarding the status of the sector files on a monthly basis at minimum, in accordance with the published AIRAC cycles. Assist the CZVR FIR membership with technical issues surrounding Euroscope and the sector files. Implementation of evolving technologies as developed by VATSIM, VATCAN, and the CZVR FIR. Monitor and participate in any relevant forums, discords and email as necessary in a timely fashion. Proactively take on projects to improve and modernize the CZVR controlling environment.
Qualifications: Must be a home controller with CZVR or be willing to transfer to CZVR. Preference may be given to current CZVR home controllers with an S2 rating or higher. Must be familiar with text editing software such as Notepad++ or similar to produce and edit sector files. Must be well versed in FIR SOPs, and VATCAN/VATSIM Policy Documents. Must have demonstrated commitment to spending time on the network. Good oral and written Communications Skills. Must demonstrate a proactive attitude and the ability to think critically to solve unexpected problems. Must be somewhat familiar with both SITU and CSIT tag families and their setup and operations within the Euroscope environment. In-depth knowledge of Euroscope’s settings and functionality is considered an asset. Prior experience of the various file types contained in the sector file is an asset. Knowledge of various programming languages, particularly C++ is an asset.
